Realme Achieves 200 Million Shipments Milestone

Realme, a Chinese smartphone maker, has confirmed that they have shipped more than 200 million phones since their inception 5 years ago.Most of these shipments have gone outside of China.

Realme is the fifth fastest smartphone maker to achieve this milestone.Realme is owned by the Chinese consumer hardware giant BBK Electronics, which also owns other brands such as Oppo and Vivo.

Realme's position in the Smartphone Market

Counterpoint Research shows that only four smartphone companies – Vivo, Huawei, Samsung, and Apple – took less time than Realme to achieve this milestone.Realme is one of only 14 smartphone manufacturers to have shipped more than 200 million phones to date.

Realme’s Chief Marketing Officer, Shu Kei, expressed pride in maintaining a position among the world’s top 10 brands for the past 5 years.

Decline in the Number of Smartphone Brands

Over the past six years, the number of smartphone brands globally has dropped from 700 to 250, according to Counterpoint Research.Realme’s success in maintaining its position amidst this decline is notable.
